Stop Ruddy’s Deportation
Help us stop Ruddy’s Deportation!
URGENT: Ruddy is currently sitting in a detention center waiting to be deported back to the Dominican Republic. He could be deported any day. Please take immediate action to stop his deportation!
Soon after Ruddy came to the U.S., he was enrolled in school in New York City. His family struggled with homelessness and poverty, but despite adversity, Ruddy was determined to obtain his high school diploma. After he was arrested, he helped create a one-of-its kind program that would allow him to obtain a high school diploma while detained. He was the first ever inmate to obtain such a diploma and the program, named after him, is still helping others continue with their education.
Ruddy wants to give back to his community but he won’t be able to do this if he is deported back to a country he no longer considers his home. Please take action to stop his depotation!
